Celebrating 11 Years at The Cottage
As we reflect on 2025, we’re filled with gratitude. This year marked our 11th anniversary, and it’s hard to believe how quickly the seasons have passed since we first opened our doors. What hasn’t changed is how thankful we are to be part of this community.
First and foremost — thank you. To our loyal locals, our returning seasonal visitors, and our friends who travel in from the surrounding lakes and cottages, your continued support means everything to us. Whether you stopped in once or made The Cottage part of your regular routine, you helped make this year truly special.
Community at the Heart of Everything We Do
One of the things we value most is the sense of connection that comes with being a locally owned business. We’re so grateful for the support from Havelock and the surrounding area, and for those who visit us while spending time at nearby lakes and cottages. Seeing familiar faces return each season — and meeting new ones along the way — is one of the greatest rewards of what we do.

A Year of Fun, Flavours, and New Experiences
2025 brought plenty of memorable moments. Our mini putt course continued to be a favourite, creating laughter, friendly competition, and fun for all ages. It’s been wonderful to see families, friends, and visitors making memories together.
And of course, we can’t forget what many of you call Havelock’s famous milkshakes and ice cream. Whether it was a hot summer afternoon or a spontaneous treat, it’s been a joy serving up something sweet that brings people back again and again.
This year we also introduced an indoor seating area, giving everyone a cozy spot to relax, catch up, and enjoy their treats — rain or shine. It’s quickly become a well-loved addition, and we’re so happy to see it being used.
Growing While Staying True to Our Roots
We were excited to welcome new brands to the store this year, including Hey Dude, while continuing to proudly support and promote Canadian brands that align with our values. Brands like Tentree, Hu Ha, Troll Co, and Team LTDremain an important part of who we are — offering quality, comfort, and thoughtful design, with a strong connection to home.
Balancing new additions with long-standing favourites allows us to offer something for everyone while staying true to what The Cottage represents.
Looking Ahead to What’s Next
As we head into a new year, we’re excited about what’s to come. Our goal remains the same: to be a welcoming place where people can shop, relax, treat themselves, and feel at home. None of this would be possible without your continued support.
